CURTIS SLIWA TO ANCHOR MORNINGS ON AM 970 THE APPLE
New York, NY – AM 970 THE APPLE and General Manager Sean O’Neill today announced that Curtis Sliwa will be the new morning host on the 50 thousand watt News/Talker. Curtis Sliwa will start Monday, January 11th from 5a-9a on The Talk of New York.
Curtis Sliwa was a long-time popular morning drive Talk Show Host in New York City. In announcing the return of Curtis Sliwa to morning drive radio, General Manager Sean O’Neill said, “Curtis Sliwa is New York Radio. Returning Curtis to mornings makes the morning commute worth listening to the radio again.”
According to Curtis Sliwa, “As of December of 2007, my goal was always to return to morning drive radio in New York City, AM 970 The Apple has provided me the opportunity to once again be live and local in New York.”

Curtis Sliwa really needs no introduction. Curtis started The Guardian Angels which almost single handedly made the New York Subways safer. This international organization has empowered people all over the world to keep their neighborhoods safer. Curtis was a talk show host for the last 18 years on WABC before leaving to join AM 970 The Apple.
